These days, when we interview someone, we often check to see if he has a blog or not, ;-). Google has joined LinkedIn an many other companies are too, and I also have seen many VNese company join that network also. They use it for finding people and hiring. In the flat world, information get the user faster, and now with the trend of blog, wiki, virtual world, social network, we can have more and more information in our hand.
Have you seen any business presentation on SecondLife, or LinkedIn, or Facebook?

I work in the Marketing field, and I can assure you that Web 2.0 business model is sustainable. In fact, every damn Internet marketer are rushing to web 2.0 for traffic now. Hubpages, Squidoos are beneficial to everyone: the publishers, the company and the users; besides it makes money for the company and the publishers, without disrupting the user experience.

there’re many way to do business on Web2.0, but i think main stream are:
1.sell ads based on strong result of user interaction statistics
2.develop add-on modul,event for business partner

whatever the business,the most important is increasing user experience…therefore, be careful with business plan
